On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me… a Ginger Pear Margarita!

Kick off the Twelve Days of Christmas Cocktails with a festive Ginger Pear Margarita, a perfect blend of seasonal cheer and sophistication. This vibrant cocktail combines the smooth sweetness of ripe pear juice with the zingy warmth of ginger liqueur, creating a harmonious balance of flavors. A splash of tequila and a hint of lime juice add a classic margarita twist, while a rim of spiced cinnamon sugar and salt provides a touch of holiday magic. Served chilled and garnished with a thin slice of pear or a sprig of rosemary, this drink is sure to make spirits bright as you toast to the season!

A Ginger Pear Margarita is the perfect holiday cocktail because it blends the cozy flavors of the season with a festive twist. The natural sweetness of pears evokes the essence of winter fruit, while fresh ginger adds a warm, spicy kick that complements chilly evenings and holiday gatherings. Tequila’s earthy undertones pair beautifully with these flavors, creating a drink that is both refreshing and comforting. The addition of lime juice and a spiced sugar rim elevates the cocktail, offering a zesty balance and a touch of elegance that feels right at home during the most wonderful time of the year.

This cocktail also stands out as a crowd-pleaser thanks to its versatility and visual appeal. Its pale golden hue, enhanced by garnishes like a rosemary sprig and slice of pear, brings an understated yet festive charm to the table. It’s a delightful alternative to heavier, cream-based holiday drinks, appealing to guests who prefer something lighter yet still celebratory. Whether served at a formal holiday dinner or a casual cocktail party, the Gingered Pear Margarita offers a sophisticated nod to seasonal flavors, making it a memorable addition to your holiday traditions.

The Cinnamon-Sugar Salt Rim

The delicate flavors of ginger and pear are complimented with a cinnamon-sugar salt rim instead of a traditional salt rim, plus it looks extra festive.

Note:  If you prefer your margarita on the rocks, not frozen, use about 4 oz of pear juice instead of the 2 oz of pear juice and two frozen pears.
