We usually entertain for Easter and I am always looking for pretty and unique ways to decorate our Easter dinner table I love fresh spring flowers but wanted to incorporate a few other colors and textures of Easter into my centerpiece design as well. The vibrant spring colors of blue, yellow, pink, green, and orange in jelly beans add the perfect pop of color and are quick, easy, and inexpensive to use. With a bouquet of fresh tulips, a few packages of jelly beans, two vases and some spring ribbon, I created a stunning DIY Jelly Bean Easter centerpiece….and you can too!
DIY Easter Jelly Bean Centerpiece
For this craft you need:
- 1 Bouquet of Fresh Tulips or other spring flowers
- Water
- 1 Bag of Jelly Beans
- 1 Small Round Vase or Glass
- 1 Large Vase
- Fabric Ribbon
- Double Sided Tape
I thought of putting the jelly beans in the vase with the water but knew the water would melt the jelly beans too quickly, so that option was out. I found a small glass vase to put the tulips in, filled it halfway with water, then put that small vase into a bigger vase. I then rinsed and trimmed the tulips to fit in the vase, making sure to trim some of the leaves off as well, so the tulips had room to spread out. After I placed the small vase into the larger vase, I slowly added jelly beans around the smaller vase, filling it to to the top of the inside vase. If a few jelly beans call into the inside vase with the tulips, the tulips will be happy, as cut flowers love sugar water!
When I was finished with the jelly beans, I took a strip of fabric ribbon, wrapped it around the vase, and tied a big bow. I secured the ribbon with a bit of double-sided tape underneath to hold it in place. This DIY Easter Jelly Bean Centerpiece came out so pretty and only took about 15 minutes to make!
