On the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me –  a Holiday French 75 cocktail!

The traditional Twelve Days of Christmas song brings three French hens on the third day, so a French-inspired cocktail was favored. The Holiday French 75 is a spirited twist on the classic cocktail, perfect for adding a festive sparkle to your holiday celebrations. This elevated version blends the timeless elegance of a French 75 with a vibrant, seasonal touch that is as visually stunning as it is delicious, a refreshingly light and shimmery twist on the traditional French 75 cocktail typically made with gin, lemon juice, and champagne.

Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG

Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG is a lively and effervescent sparkling wine with a delicate balance of flavors with light notes of pear and apple, complemented by hints of citrus and a touch of floral honeysuckle undertones. It is a light Brut with a crisp, refreshing acidity that makes it an ideal choice for aperitifs or light dishes. Its fine bubbles and light body create a cheerful and celebratory experience in every sip. The Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG is the perfect sparkling wine for the Holiday French 75 cocktail as the crisp flavor doesn’t overshadow the botanicals in the gin and pairs well with the pomegranate juice.

Holiday French 75

At its heart, this cocktail retains the refined balance of the original French 75. The gin provides a crisp botanical base, while a splash of fresh lemon juice adds a zesty brightness that cuts through the richness of holiday fare. The addition of pomegranate juice, with its ruby-red hue and sweet-tart profile, brings a burst of seasonal flavor and a pop of festive color. Topped with prosecco, the drink becomes effervescent, ensuring every sip feels celebratory.
