Cool Summer Cooking With Ling Ling Fried Rice

written by Julie Cohn

When summer hits, I try to keep the kitchen as cool as possible, creating quick summer meals that can be made on the stovetop or in the slow cooker. Because temperatures are so much higher, we eat lighter too.  One of our new favorite summer meals is Ling Ling Fried Rice éntrees that can be made in the microwave or on the stovetop in 15 minutes or less.  It doesn’t get any cooler than that, does it?!

Are you a frozen food snob like me?  I admit it, I am a fresh girl. I like to use fresh ingredients in my cooking as often as I can. Frozen is just never as good as fresh, is it?  Wrong.  Wrong, wrong, wrong!  Ling Ling Fried Rice, found in the freezer section of your favorite grocer (gasp) has a collection of éntrees with wholesome ingredients like carrots, red and yellow bell pepper, corn, edamame, beef, and chicken.  Ling Ling uses an infusion cooking method for their rice éntrees, so every grain of rice is infused with a flavorful sauce from China, Thailand, Korea, and Japan, then flash frozen so they are as fresh as…well…fresh!   This is not your mother’s frozen food!

Each Ling Ling fried rice package can be cooked in the microwave for about 9 minutes, or on the stove top in 13 minutes, meaning dinner is ready in 15 minutes from freezer to table, even faster than local take out!

The best part?  Ling Ling fried rice is all about the taste, not the grease found in most restaurant fried rice, so each forkful is fluffy and flavorful with no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives, a wholesome meal the whole family will love.  Ling Ling Fried Rice comes in five delicious flavors:

  • Yakitori Chicken
  • Yakiniku Beef
  • Thai-Style Chicken
  • Chinese-Style Vegetable
  • Bibimbap Beef
