Harvest Apple Sangria

written by Julie Cohn

Sangria is the quintessential summer cocktail, but with this recipe, it is not just for summer anymore!  This fun and festive Harvest Apple Sangria is brimming with the fresh flavors of Autumn – the perfect cocktail for fall and winter celebrations such as Thanksgiving, holiday parties, and New Years.  Bolder than a typical sangria, this cocktail uses fresh fall and winter fruits blended with zesty spices, then topped with a sparkling red wine such as a rose or shiraz.  All this is blended with the ultimate secret ingredient, Stolen Fruit Blood Orange Muscat cocktail mixer.

{I received Stolen Fruit cocktail mixers to try but this recipe and my opinions are my own.}

Stir all together so it is completely blended, then scoop out the cinnamon and star anise.  Add the sparkling wine and place in the regfrigerator for about 3 hours.  To serve, scoop a few slices of fruit into each glass, then pour the sangria over the fruit.

Stolen Fruit Cocktail Mixers

Stolen Fruit, created by Heardsburg chef Peter Brown and Dry Creek wine growers Doug and Susan Provisor, is a fun collection of cocktail mixers made from the juice and skins of harvested grapes, blended with a variety of original flavors.   When blended with other juices, wines, or alcohol, Stolen Fruit takes cocktail mixing to a new level.

Stolen Fruit has no alcohol in it, so the cocktail mixers can be used for non-alcoholic drinks too.   I love that the mixers are not syrupy sweet–they are the true essence of grape, with unique flavors of blood orange, fig, hybiscus, and lemongrass blended in. So good!

Stolen Fruit has a wonderful 3-bottle gift pack, perfect for holiday party and gift giving for $54.00. For more information about Stolen Fruit cocktail mixers, please visit their website.
