On the eighth day of Christmas my true love gave to me…Espresso Milk Punch cocktail!

Milk Punch is a traditional alcoholic beverage popular in Louisiana; it’s history began as a punch bowl drink from the 17th century.  The traditional brandy milk punch cocktail is made with curdled cream and brandy or bourbon; milk punch is similar to eggnog, only with a thinner consistency.  This Christmas cocktail is made with dark rum and cream,  kissed with a generous touch of espresso liqueur.  You’ll never drink milk punch the same way again!

Espresso Milk Punch

Milk punch is a traditional holiday cocktail made with bourbon or brandy, similar to eggnog, but less thick.  I couldn’t resist adding a touch of Marble Distilling’s incredible Moonlight Espresso liqueur, made with roasted coffee beans, to kick up the cocktail a notch.  It’s like a spiked iced latté!

  • 4 oz. Marble Distilling Moonlight Espresso Liqueur
  • 2 oz. Dark Rum
  • 4 oz. Half & Half
  • Sprinkle of Ground Cinnamon
  • Crushed Ice

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then add the Moonlight Espresso, dark rum, and half & half.  Shake a little cinnamon in the shaker, then cover and shake for about 30 seconds.   Fill a hurricane glass with crushed ice, pour the cocktail into the glass and sprinkle with a bit more cinnamon.

For even more decadent flavor, use almond milk instead of half & half!  For more information about Marble Distilling, please visit their website.
