Are your relatives coming for the holiday? Is your mother-in-law stamping on your last nerve? When you bring people together with many different personalities for the holidays, things can get “interesting”. I could suggest you take a deep breath and count to ten, take a nice long walk, or hide in the bathroom for 15 minutes, but honestly, there is only one reasonable thing to do when dealing with your (crazy) family–start drinking early! Start your Thanksgiving day in style with champagne-filled Cranberry Apple Cider Mimosas!
These tart and refreshing Cranberry Apple Cider Mimosas are the perfect sidekick while stuffing the bird, setting the table, or watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving day parade. If you host a Thanksgiving brunch, Cranberry Apple Cider mimosas make a festive cocktail — two or three of these will keep that smile on your face in the worst of circumstances (even when Uncle Albert starts talking politics)! For the more sophisticated cocktail sipper, add a fresh cranberry garnish to the glass.
Cranberry Apple Cider Mimosas
- 1 Bottle Chilled Champagne or other sparkly white wine
- 1/3 c. Cranberry Juice
- 1/3. c. Apple Cider
- 1/3 c. Orange Juice
- Fresh cranberries for garnish
Pour the champagne into a large pitcher. Add the three juices and stir around the pitcher once or twice, but do not over stir, as that will diminish the effervescence. Do not leave the pitcher out for more than an hour, as the champagne will flatten. As if the pitcher would last more than an hour!
